It's a good time to be a fan of Middle-Earth.
Not only did Warner Bros. announce details for its Lord of the Rings movie, The Hunt for Gollum (produced by Peter Jackson), but Amazon Prime Video also dropped a sneak peek of The Rings of Power Season 2. The 1-minute, 43-second teaser trailer showcases plenty of familiar faces from Season 1, from Robert Aramayo's Elrond to Morfydd Clark's Galadriel and Owain Arthur's Durin IV. Charlie Vickers reprises his role as Sauron, though viewers will note that his appearance is starkly changed.
There's a good reason for that (spoilers!): Sauron might have returned in Season 1, but without an army or allies, he must use his cunning to oversee the creation of the Rings of Power and bring the realms of Middle Earth under his control. Treachery is afoot, and the unlikely alliances between elves and dwarves, wizards and Harfoots will be surely tested.
Watch the trailer now to get ready for Season 2.
