We could all use some good news right about now. And as far as Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels fans are concerned, this is extremely good news.

/Film reports that Daredevil star Rosario Dawson is joining the second season of the Disney+ live-action Star Wars show The Mandalorian. Dawson will allegedly bring to life Ahsoka Tano, a fan-favorite character from the Star Wars animated series.

In the animated series, Ahsoka is a Togruta who trains as a Padawan under Anakin Skywalker. She is voiced in the animated series by actress Ashley Eckstein. Eckstein also provided a voiceover cameo as Ahsoka in a climactic Rise of Skywalker scene.

As io9 writes, the addition of Ahsoka to The Mandalorian would significantly open up the potential direction of the second season. Unlike any of the first-season characters, Ahsoka definitely knows who Yoda is. As such, her presence could have major implications for the fate of the Mandalorian and the Child (also known as 'baby Yoda').

Thankfully, we likely won't have to wait too long to find out what will come of Dawson's involvement. Season 2 of The Mandalorian wrapped filming in early March and is already in post-production, so it's less likely to be delayed by Coronavirus than many other productions are.

During these times, we could all use a little bit of Mando, the Child, and Ahsoka in our lives. I have spoken.
